About Feeding and Learning Center (FLC) Tuapene

Located in Timor Tengah Selatan, East Nusa Tenggara, FLC Tuapene serves as a learning and development center for children in the local community. The center currently supports 43 children under the guidance of two dedicated rural teachers, providing educational assistance, character development, and nutritional support.

More than just a learning facility, FLC Tuapene creates a safe and encouraging environment where children can discover their potential, build confidence, and develop important life skills.

Through daily educational activities, mentoring programs, and community engagement, the center plays a vital role in supporting children's growth and development.

Neni's Inspiring Story: A Small Light with a Bright Future

One of the children benefiting from the program is Neni, a five-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a pastor one day.

When Neni first joined the program, she was known as a very shy child. She rarely spoke in class, was afraid to ask questions, and often remained silent when teachers invited her to participate because she was worried about giving the wrong answer.

Over time, however, Neni began to change.

With encouragement and support from her teachers, she learned that courage does not mean being fearless—it means trying even when you are afraid. Gradually, she became more confident and actively engaged in classroom activities.

Today, Neni is recognized as a diligent and enthusiastic learner. She enjoys completing school assignments, practices writing independently at home, and often helps her friends understand instructions when they are confused.

Outside the classroom, she assists her parents with daily household tasks and demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility for someone her age.
